SSDI & SSI Payment Dates for Aug, Sept, Oct 2024

The SSI payments are usually paid on the 1st of every month. If any holiday occurs on the first of the month, then the payment will be transferred a day prior to the officially scheduled date.

SSI Payment Dates
August 2024 on the 1st of the month
September 2024 on the 1st of the month
October 2024 on the 1st of the month

 

SSDI (if you have started before June 1997) Payment Dates
August 2024 on the 3rd of the month
September 2024 on the 3rd of the month
October 2024 on the 3rd of the month

In case you have started getting your SSDI payments after June 1997, you will be getting the benefits on the second, third and fourth Wednesday of the respective months. If any holiday occurs, then you will receive the payment a prior to the holiday.

Eligibility for SSDI Payments

In order to get the SSDI payments, you must be between the age of 19 and 65.  It means that you should not be younger than 19 years of because then you will be getting child disability benefit and not older than 65 because then you will be getting SSI and other retirement or Old Age Security payments.

  • The disability must have kept you away from working for more than a year
  • Your finances are really disturbed due to your inability to do any significant work
  • You also possess a social security number
  • Make sure that you are a legal resident of the country
  • Have any of the above listed disabilities
  • Make sure that you have applied for the benefits as soon as possible as it usually takes around 6 months to start paying the regular monthly payments

Eligibility for SSI Payments

For getting the SSI payments, you are 65 years of age or older. You can also make claims for the SSI if you are under the age of 18 but in this case, you must have to have a qualifying disability, a determinable physical or mental state. You are also all of the following

  • You have a social security number
  • A permanent residency status
  • Low or no income
  • Have lived in the country for the significant period of time
  • Earning not more than $3000 a month if filing jointly with common law partner
  • Earning not more than $2000 a months if filing individually, single, divorced, widowed etc.
